End User License Agreement
Honest Checklist for Jira, published by Backyard Tools.
This is our own EULA, written in plain English for this one app. Atlassian does not publish a standard EULA that vendors can simply reference, so each Marketplace listing needs its own. This document supplements — it does not replace — Atlassian’s own Marketplace Terms of Use and the Cloud Terms of Service for the Atlassian product you install the app on. Those keep applying; this EULA only covers what is specific to this app.
1. License grant
While your Atlassian site holds a valid installation of the app (currently free; see §3), we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your organization’s internal business purposes. This license ends automatically when the app is uninstalled or the installation lapses.
2. Ownership
The app’s code, design, and branding remain the property of Backyard Tools. This EULA does not transfer ownership of anything to you. Any content you create with the app — your checklist text and templates — remains yours.
3. Free and paid use
The app is currently offered free of charge. Feature access does not depend on a paid tier — nothing described in the app’s Marketplace listing is held back from the free tier. If a paid tier is introduced for larger sites in the future, billing is handled entirely through Atlassian’s own Marketplace payment system, under Atlassian’s standard billing terms, not directly by us.
4. No warranty
The app is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
5. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Backyard Tools is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim — which is $0 while the app remains free.
6. Support and changes
We provide support through the contact listed on our Support page. We may update or discontinue features over time; we describe material changes in the app’s release notes on its Marketplace listing.
7. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your Atlassian site. We may suspend the app for a site if required by Atlassian’s own policies — for example, a Marketplace Partner Agreement violation. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to stored data after uninstall.
8. Governing terms
Where this EULA does not cover something, Atlassian’s Marketplace Terms of Use and the terms of the Atlassian product you are using continue to apply.
